650 Townsend Amenity Center

Delivering a Flexible, Building-Wide Conference Center

As part of their acquisition of 650 Townsend Street, Beacon Capital agreed to build out a building-common conference center, the initial planning for which had been done by Zynga (the previous owner of the building). The intent was to use part of the building’s large basement space to create overflow collaboration areas that could also be reconfigured into a large training space to accommodate 100+ people.

Reimagining the Space to Reflect a New Ownership Vision

The initial design by Zynga was specific to their brand, so an interiors look-and-feel redesign was quickly tackled by the architecture and furniture teams so that the space was in line with the design aesthetic Beacon is known for.

Managing Redesign, Funding, and Construction Through Uncertainty

Our team managed the redesign and construction process, tracking cost allocations to multiple funding sources. Covid-19 also hit mid project, and required careful management around construction site safety requirements from OSHA once work was allowed to resume.
