Delivering a Kaizen-Driven Design and Construction Process
Working for Molecular Devices required a crash course in Kaizen project management methodology; all aspects of design and construction were created and delivered using those proven techniques.
A Highly Efficient Program Within a Strict Budget and Schedule
The project ethos were: simplicity, efficiency, and functionality. We packed open office space, large team rooms, training rooms, conference rooms, a café and bar, as well as large equipment labs into this 98,000 SF building while adhering to a strict budget and schedule guidelines.
Collaborative Execution with Global Stakeholders
We worked collaboratively with Molecular Devices’ parent company, Danaher, to seek approvals, update on progress, and validate compliance with several project metrics they implement in new construction projects. That included working with their remote architecture and engineering team, Heitman Architecture, who had not worked in Sunnyvale previously. Our local experience helped land this project on time and under budget.
