Relocating and Expanding a Highly Automated Testing Lab

Ascend’s relocation from Redwood City included significant growth in their automated blood testing lab and included design and installation of robotic equipment that was being designed and manufactured in parallel with the physical construction of the testing lab, requiring seamless integration with Siemens to guarantee the lab was ready to receive the equipment as it arrived custom built from Italy.

Delivering a Critical Facility Through Pandemic Constraints

Because of their critical work, construction was allowed to progress during Covid shutdowns, but as a result of the pandemic, the project faced innumerable material and equipment shortages and delays which caused the design and construction teams to dig deep into creative measures to keep the project on track. The project would go on to win Silicon Valley’s project of the year.
